HOW TO REMOVE BLACKBERRY TRACKBALL by DCMUGEN
*********PLEASE PERFORM THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Tools Needed:
Phillips Screwdriver (no bigger than 2.5mm)
Small pliers

Starting….

What you first need to do is remove the silver plastic ring around the trackball. What you'll need is a small screwdriver or something with a small tip. NOT A KNIFE, I repeat don’t use a knife because it might damage the mechanism. I used a small Phillips screwdriver.

After this is done, you can now carefully remove the trackball.

To pop it out just face the Berry down and pop it out. It should just fall out easily with minimal force. It’s held in by a magnet.

Replace your old track ball with the new one.

The put the mechanism back inside the BlackBerry. Put the plastic ring back on and there you go good as new.

Done!

*privacy installation will only require half of the video when there is only 1 tab to pull off

DOWNLOAD PDF INSTRUCTIONS HERE

STEP BY STEP GUIDE

Follow the steps below to easily install your ultra clear screen protector. Follow the guide carefully to avoid alignment issues, dust, or air bubbles.

WHAT YOU NEED

Privacy Screen Protector*

Cleaning Cloth

Squeegee (Credit card or Business card)

*NOTE: The difference in applying a privacy screen protector is that there is usually only 1 tab to apply. There is no 2nd tab as normally found on our other types. However recently due to a change in manufacturing practices you may find 2 tabs to pull off. If you receive such product follow the guide from start to end.

*IMPORTANT: Before starting your application, please do a quick check to ensure your tabs will pull of the protective layer properly. Do a test pull on each tab to ensure that it pulls off the film. If you find that the tab does not pull off any protection film please refer to our troubleshooting section at the bottom of this guide.

Starting...

1 Make sure your intended screen surface area is completely clean of dust, grime, and oil. You wont be able to remove them after you install the protector. If you get dust or lint on the sticky side of the protector, you can try and remove then with a tweezers.

Alternatively you can also use scotch tape and pull off debris using this method as well. However, you will need to be mindful to apply and pull back quickly to avoid leaving sticky tape residue.

We have included a lint free cleaning cloth for your use.

2 Whatever you do, do NOT touch the sticky side of the protector. Your oils weaken the glue and there's a good chance of leaving a permanent fingerprint. This reference is to tab 1 side of the screen protector.
3 Find a good squeegee. Avoid using credit cards with hard or rough edges The protector can be scratched or warped if you use too much pressure or something too hard. I found an old phone card which was made of really soft plastic. We would also recommend using a card stock business card.
4 Without removing the backing (tab 1), align the screen protector on your device making sure that is aligned properly.
5 Peel off tab 1. Align the edge of the screen protector to the edges of your screen. Once you have the correct alignment apply the newly exposed side of the screen protector onto the surface of your screen.

*For best results, peel off half the screen protector tab 1 film. Align the newly exposed screen protector to the device screen. Holding down the newly attached side, slowly peel back tab 1. As you peel it back, use the squeegie to apply the protector to your device. The slower you go, the less likely you'll get air bubbles.
6 Check the alignment on both sides. If it looks crooked, lift the screen protector and repeat step 5.
7 Smooth out the surface of the newly applied screen protector to work out minor bubbles that may be near the edges. (if your screen protector is misaligned don’t worry, you can peel it off carefully and reapply it).

8 Remove the last layer on the screen protector by pulling upwards on tab 2.

(Some privacy screen protectors do not have a tab 2) Once you apply tab 1 to the screen you are done.
9 You're done.

For best result reference the video for a step by step video instruction.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

If you ever encounter a problem with your screen protector installation please contact us.

One commonly found problem is tab 1 and/or tab 2 does not pull off properly. You may use the video as reference.
